Happy July

Emmalynn has really started wanting to go places on her own since seeing other little ones moving about. She has moved from rolling to get someplace, to full on crawling. This just came to my attention the other day when I was in the laundry room folding clothes and she was in the living room. She started to cry, but I wanted to finish folding the clothes before I went to get her. Needless to say, she was out of the living room and almost to the kitchen by the time I went to pick her up. It was so sweet and sad all at the same time. She was crying with big tears in he eyes, moving as fast as she could to try and find me.

We took Emmalynn to her first baseball game: Lexington Legends.

She had fun walking around with Daddy looking at all the people.

Not a fan of the sun in her eyes!

Sitting with Mommy sipping on some water..IT WAS HOT!

In her big seat!

What are all those people up there yelling about???

4th of July: Matt and I went to our new church on the 4th. I think we are really going to like being a part of this church community. While it is no where near the same size as our home Asbury, they people have welcomed us with open arms. There are quite a few other seminary students and families and we feel right at home! After church we took Emmalynn for a photo shoot. It was hot and we didn't last too long. Then that night Emmalynn went to bed at her usual 7:30. Matt and I were tired too, so we went to bed sometime between 8 and 9. I know, I know...that makes us really old! Hopefully, next year we will have some more friends and therefore not be lured to go to bed so early on a holiday.

As I have shared on Facebook, nap time has become somewhat more difficult. Some days she lays right down and goes to sleep; other days we have to go in about 3 three times and lay her down again before she falls asleep. The video speaks for its self on why naps don't always happen right when she hits the mattress.

  1. Love the pictures and videos. I especially love the posed picture with the white background. (i'm a sucker for posed pics). I can't believe how big she is getting. You realize she's going to be 1 soon, right? I can't believe Isabelle is going to be 6 months this weekend. Time goes too fast.
