Autumn has arrived and we went to the orchard.

Autumn has arrived and the smell of cider is in the air. Our good friends the Rozsa's organized a trip to the orchard with us. See around here, unlike back home they HAVE orchards. We didn't just want to go to a pumpkin patch, we were planning to go to an actual orchard. I have never been to an orchard, so I was looking forward to this little adventure. Not too sure what I expected, but Boyd Orchards met my every expectation.
It was about 85 degrees, so it didn't really feel like fall. I think the warm weather and bright sun is why Emmalynn is scowling in most of the pictures. I am sure that like her mother she prefers the cooler weather.
When we had all the fun to be had for the day at the orchard we headed back to spend the evening together over some delicious food. And when I say delicious, I mean delicious. We started with some Creepy Critter chips and dip, along with mini mummies. Then we had some awesome chili and finished the night off when some Apple Crisp dessert and homemade pumpkin spice ice cream. The weather may have been a bit on the toasty side, but it was a perfect fall day with some really great friends.

Just some posing...

Family pictures
The Bevil Family. Baby Bevil is due to arrive in Feb.

The Rozsa Family. I don't know that I would do here without Kristen. She has welcomed me from the beginning and has truly made my life in Kentucky enjoyable. Our girls are a few months apart and we tell them that they are good friends. I know that over the next couple of years they will realize they really are good friends.

The Hester Family. Well, you know about us...

Both girls enjoyed looking at the apple trees. Most of the apples had been picked or were starting to rot.

All of us girls. Kristen and Emily, Missy, Emmalynn and me

And then it was time to leave....
