Well, that morning it rained and rained. So, what did we do instead of the egg hunt??
BUILD A BEAR! We decided that we would take Emmalynn for her first Build a Bear adventure. It was great. She bee lined for the lamb and wouldn't give a second look to the pink bunny that I wanted her to get. She enjoyed all each stage of creating her lamb except for the stuffing part. The machine scared her and she wouldn't let go of my shirt. Matt and I recorded a little love note for her and her first Easter. In the end we all agreed that Build a Bear was a lot more fun then the egg hunt would have been.
This way mommy...
When we got home it was time for an egg hunt with Emily. These two girls have grown to be so close. It is adorable how much the love each other. Now that we are neighbors the girls get to play together a lot. Emmalynn regularly goes to their porch looking for " E E".
Here are the besties being silly before the home egg hunt.
Cheese...
"Say what"
And the hunt is ON
WOW
This hunting wears me out
Yep, I need a rest
OK, now I am ready. Who needs a bucket?!
I know I can get this in my mouth
Going, going, gone....
Silly girls
"No, it's mine" So they have tiffs along with great play dates
Our Easter Basket from Daddy. He knows how his girls love their straws!
We enjoyed a fun lunch with friends. Matt grilled chicken and steak kabobs and everyone brought a side or dessert. After lunch it was time for an adult egg hunt. One that included a golden egg with movie tickets as the prize. Overall, it was an enjoyable day. We are blessed with our salvation and the gift that Christ gave to us, and blessed with sweet people to share Easter with.
Love the update. The Build a "Lamb" was adorable. Love how she goes through all the stages. Can't believe how BIG that kid is getting... And all that hair! I'm so proud. you look great as well. Can't wait to see you soon :)
