Emmalynn had her first soccer practice. I must say that I was beyond excited. I was also praying that she would find joy in it. I am happy to say that she LOVED it. She is one of the youngest ones on the team and many of them have played for at least 2 seasons. However, she did really well for the first time.
Josiah wanted to join in the fun.
First everyone had to hear the rules and how things would work. Em was taking it all in.
Then we head to the field. Having all the parents help was really neat. Stretching is SUPER important.
Practicing passing the ball back and forth to one another. Kick...
Stop
and kick again. She was proud.

She really said at one point "mom can I sit down?"
Dribbling around the cones.
Running around the field. We were dribbling around the field and about 3/4 of the way through Emmalynn looked at me and said "mom you kick it". So, I kicked it a couple of times and asked if she wanted it back...nope, she was done. The first game should be quite a sight.
Sprints...or as the coach said "and this helps them go to sleep with no problems tonight"
Line up...
GOOOOOOOO
Hands in for the "Cheetahs". Two of the other girls voted for "puppies" and "elephants." Guess the boys didn't think those team names sounded intimidating enough. It was a great first practice and we look forward to the rest of the season. As we were leaving I asked Em if she had fun. She replied "YEAAAH MAN."
